Matplotlib¶
Status: π§ Coming soon β chapters are being written.
Matplotlib is Python's go-to library for static, interactive, and publication-quality plots. It's the foundation most other plotting libraries (Pandas .plot, Seaborn, even sklearn's visualization helpers) build on top of.
What this section will cover¶
- The figure / axes / artist mental model
- Line, scatter, bar, histogram, box, heatmap basics
- Multi-panel figures with
subplots - Styling: colors, themes, fonts, legends, annotations
- Saving figures for reports and notebooks
- When to reach for Seaborn or Plotly instead
Currently available β related material¶
While the dedicated Matplotlib chapters are being written, plotting fragments appear in these existing tutorials:
- NumPy β Real-world examples
- Pandas β Real-world examples
- Machine Learning β EDA
- Machine Learning β Linear regression worked example
